Yolanda Carapia is a lawyer at J. Cogburn Car Accidents and Personal Injury Lawyers where she primarily represents personal injury clients. She has extensive experience representing thousands of clients injured in motor vehicle wrecks, slip and falls, dog bites, and wrongful death cases. Yolanda has recovered millions of dollars for clients and has handled hundreds of personal injury cases in Las Vegas. Based upon her exceptional advocacy and legal accomplishments, she has been named one of the Top Ranked Attorneys for 2022 by Nevada Business Magazine and a Rising Star by Nevada Justice Association in 2022.
Yolanda was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Writing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Throughout college, Yolanda worked at a personal injury law firm. She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2018. During law school, Yolanda was an Articles Editor for the Nevada Law Journal. She was also an active member of the Nevada Justice Association, La Voz, and a member of the Student Body Association. She also served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Bare and the Honorable Judge Togliatti at the Eighth Judicial District Court.
Yolanda is admitted to practice law before the state and federal courts of Nevada, the state courts of Arizona, and the state courts of New Mexico. She is a member of the Nevada Justice Association, the American Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Nevada.
Currently, Yolanda is a member of the Nevada Editorial Board and Character and Fitness Committee for the Nevada State Bar. She is also a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and Club X Committee for the Nevada Justice Association.

Yolanda enjoys working in the community she grew up in and for a law firm that serves the Henderson/Las Vegas community in a way that she is innately passionate about. Aside from her work life, Yolanda enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, playing ball with her golden doodle, and cheering on the Golden Knights during the season.
